Wonderful set of three Italian different shades of green, blown wine bottles.
Also known as Dame Jeanne, Damigiana, Demijohn, Carboy or Bonbonne bottles.
All three are hand blown, the larger ones have cut necks, the small hand painted one was blown in a mould and has a hand added bottleneck.
measurements:
large one 66cm (26") high and 43cm (16.9") diameter
smaller darker green one 45cm (17.7') high and 30cm (11.8") diameter
small painted one 42cm (16.5") high and 25cm (9.8") diameter
Bottles like this were primarily used to hold liquids such as wine, cognac or brandy.
Their condition is excellent with typical air bubble 'imperfections'
The small painted one is painted by hand with oil paint, the glass of this bottle is very thick and irregular, it is more likely early 19th century. The other two are free blown, but these type of bottles are more common and probably less old, my guess is late 19th, early 20th century
Perfect as home décor pieces or as a historic addition to a bar.
