Spectaculair looking table lamp depicting a hand painted porcelain rock base and branch with an eye-catching tropical blue bird on top of it. Ornamented with tole branches and leaves, marked and made by Giulia Mangani, circa 1970.
The bird and pedestal is made of porcelain in one piece and the shrub or leaf part is made of gilt copper also called tole.
Marked below on the porcelain with the blue Mangani hallmark and some remains of a gold foil sticker which probably had the text 'made in Italy' on it, but the words are no longer visible.
The Mangani company began restoring porcelain and ceramic products since the 19th century in Florence and passing down their knowledge from father to son.
Now, the new generation continues the family tradition of creating unique pieces of timeless allure and great quality.
This beautiful table lamp is decorated by hand with brilliant colours and fine realistic details. Comes with modern yellow/gold tone fabric lamp shade.
