A wonderful set of two Victorian heavy cast brass sitting English Pointer dogs. Depicted 'en profile' facing towards or from each other. They were originally made as doorstoppers, but also very useful as large bookends. Back to back they make a 3D pointer dog and next to each other they make great looking couple. They are quite heavy and slightly different.
The one looking right weighs 2724 grams and measures 31,5cm high, 21cm wide and 5cm deep (12.4" x 8.27" x 1.97")
The one looking left weighs 2658 grams and measures 32cm high, 21,5cm wide and 5cm deep (12.6" x 8.46" x 1.97")
Each of them is mounted with 2 bolts on a heavy cast brass base.
These two make a great decorative and functional interior statement.
