This long refectory table with original wrought iron curled stretchers would be perfect as kitchen or dinner table or as large hallway centre or side table.

The table is narrow but long and it would easily seat 4-6 comfortable spacious arm chairs or 6-8 smaller chair without armrests.

The tabletop is mounted to the heavy lyre shaped legs. The legs are fixed to the table top with six large visible wrought iron nails.

Its robust but elegant style will definitely stand out in your home.

A refectory table is a long narrow table supported by heavy legs or trestles connected by stretchers, used originally for dining in monasteries. In the Late Middle Ages tables like these gradually became a banqueting or feasting table in castles and other noble residences.

Craftsmen commonly used walnut or oak.

The table is 207cm long, 73cm wide and 79cm high

The table top is quite narrow 73cm but the height under the top (room for a chair and sitting) is 75cm, which is perfect for a dining room table.

This table does not fold up.
