Beautiful detailed carving on this large and adorable Lion's paw.
The candle holding part is painted red inside and gilded outside, decorated with 'Fleur-de-lys'. It is this decoration that makes me believe it was made in France.
The candle pin is 5cm (2 inches) long and 1cm wide.
It will hold a candle up to 8 cm (3,15 inches) in diameter. But looks equally gorgeous without a candle.
